Rooms
All of our rooms have sea views or views over our spectacular grounds. Each room is equipped with all of the modern conveniences that you would expect of a leading hotel, whilst maintaining the tradition and history that has shaped Islay House over the course of its great history. The names of each room reflect their unique character, with many retaining period features.
Jib Door Restaurant
A jib door is a secret passage used by servants to slip in and out of a dining room unnoticed. At Islay House, our elegant dining room has two of these doors, highlighting the relaxed and discreet service we provide.
Our Chefs utilisie an unparalleled larder at their disposal, with menus featuring the freshest hyper-local seafood, game, meat and especially fruit and vegetables from the Islay House Walled Garden – a joint project with the local community.
