Barriemore Guest House, Oban is a splendid example of a Victorian 3 storey town house, situated by the water on Oban’s sea front. It is as close as you can get to the narrow shipping channel which passes along side the patio at the front of our building.
Oban is famous for its local landmark McCaig’s Tower (Coliseum), which was built by John S McCaig. He also built Barriemore as a private residence. All rooms are ensuite and beautifully furnished and have all the hospitality items you would expect from this exceptional 4* B&B.
We have 2 elegant ground floor suites overlooking Oban Bay, while the remaining large & spacious bedrooms (with king size and super king size beds as standard) either overlook the water or local woodland.
Breakfast provides you with a fresh and plentiful buffet. Along with a selection of different hot dishes made to order, freshly prepared and using local ingredients wherever possible.
Free internet access (wi fi) is available for all our guests.

Location
The town centre is a delightful short walk along the sea front. Or why not spend your day on the terrace with a cold drink. Take in the magnificent views of the bay. The large ships & ferries pass so close you almost think you could reach out and touch them. In the evening watch the sun go down in breath-taking colour over Oban Bay and the mountains and Islands beyond.
Car Parking
Along the whole of the sea front roadway (Esplanade) we and our sister guest houses (Glenrigh, Visit Scotland 4* and Barriemore, Visit Scotland 4*) are the only three establishments which can offer all our guests guaranteed FREE private off street parking day & night. This is a great stress free bonus.
