Barra Holidays – Croft 183 – Established holiday park on the east side of the Isle of Barra, bringing together a caravan park, campsite, self catering holiday cottage, 8 berth caravan and new lodgings with self contained kitchens and ensuite rooms.
Being the most southerly island in the Outer Hebrides, Barra is famous for its beautiful white sandy beaches, scenery and rich history. There is excellent all year round shore and loch fishing, hill walking and nature trails. A great site for bird watching and astronomy. Wildlife seen from the campsite includes; seals, otters, basking sharks, corncrakes, cuckoo, buzzards, white tailed eagles and golden eagles.
On a clear day there are excellent views over to Skye, Canna, Rhumm, Eigg, Muck and Tiree. Watch the beautiful sunsets and sunrises or take advantage of the clear night skies and try a bit of star gazing.
The campsite is perfect for adventure breaks and is just a short drive from Castlebay, the airport and beaches. It is also served by the local bus service.
The site has all amenities including free satellite broadband Wifi and cycle hire.
Campsite
The Barra Holidays campsite is a fully accessible, facility rich site with lots to offer it has 5 hard standing pitches with hook ups and 5 tent pitches which can be provided with hook ups if required.
The facilities block has a camper’s lounge with fully equipped kitchen, dining area, TV, DVDs, free Wi-Fi and games, toilets, showers, and launderette. There is also a special area for dog walks, disposal points, patio areas, picnic tables and barbecue.
We can also arrange for a field to be opened up to accommodate large groups.

Self Catering
Two bedroom holiday cottage has one double room, one twin room and a double sofa bed in the lounge.
The holiday cottage includes a fully equipped kitchen, cot, high chair, TV with Freeview and free satellite broadband WiFi, full central heating, parking area, private patio, BBQ area with seating and excellent sea views.
We provide all linen and towels, and some basic foods such as bread, cereal, tea, coffee milk and butter for your arrival.

Lodgings
Newly extended lodgings are in a beautiful setting overlooking the Minch. It is an ideal location for walks along the coastline or the hills behind; rich in wildlife including otters, eagles and rare birds.
The lodgings comprise of two family rooms, one double room, and two twin rooms all of which are en suite. One of the family rooms and the double room have their own small kitchen.
All guests have access to the lounge, conservatory and shared kitchen.
